Vertical Reciprocating Conveyor (VRC) Installation & Service

Turnkey VRC installation anywhere in the USA — certified and licensed in 38 states

Vertical reciprocating conveyors (VRCs) move pallets, carts and heavy materials safely between floors, mezzanines and loading docks — without tying up a forklift or exposing people to a freight elevator. Brockett Industrial Services specializes in the complete, turnkey installation and service of VRCs for warehouses, manufacturing facilities, distribution centers and commercial buildings across the country. We are an authorized PFlow Industries dealer and we install and service every major VRC brand.

Brands we install and service

PFlow (authorized dealer) · Giant Lift · Wildeck · Autoquip · Custom Industrial Products · Vasari · Phantom Lift · and many more. Mechanical or hydraulic, straddle or cantilever, two-stop or multi-level — if it moves material between floors, our crews install it, inspect it and keep it running.

What a turnkey VRC project looks like with Brockett

  1. Site review & layout planning. We measure the opening, floor loads, travel height and traffic flow, and confirm the lift class (mechanical or hydraulic), capacity, platform size and gate configuration your operation needs.
  2. Code compliance & permitting. VRCs are governed by ASME B20.1 and, in most jurisdictions, state elevator and building codes. We are licensed elevator contractors in Connecticut (ELV.0575528-R9 / ELV.0475538-R7) and hold licensing and certifications across 38 states, so permits, inspections and sign-off are handled correctly the first time.
  3. Equipment. We install PFlow hydraulic and mechanical lifts (D, 21, M and F Series), Giant Lift, Wildeck, Autoquip, Custom Industrial, Vasari, Phantom Lift and other manufacturers, and match the lift to the job rather than the other way around.
  4. Installation & startup. Our own crews set the structure, guide columns, carriage and gates, run the electrical to the control panel, and commission the lift with load testing and operator training.
  5. Integration. Mezzanines, guard rail, conveyor hand-offs, pallet racking and safety gates are installed by the same crew so the system works as one.

VRC service, inspection and repair — any brand

Already have a lift? We provide preventive maintenance, annual inspections, emergency repair, controller and drive upgrades, gate and interlock replacement, and modernization of older mechanical and hydraulic VRCs — whatever the original manufacturer. Email service@brockettindustrial.com with the make, model and serial number.

Why a VRC instead of a freight elevator?

  • Typically a fraction of the installed cost of a freight elevator
  • Falls under ASME B20.1 conveyor code, not passenger elevator code (materials only — riders are prohibited)
  • Capacities from a few hundred pounds to 200,000 lb and travel heights of 200 ft or more
  • Fits into existing buildings: floor-to-floor, mezzanine, through-floor or exterior dock applications
